Min-hwa (Korean folk paintings) traditionally portrayed the tiger under a pine tree with a magpie squawking. The tiger is thought of as a messenger for the
mountain deities and the magpie a messenger of good news. It is hand-painted on silk paper and mounted on a blue patterned background. Scroll paintings feature a cord at the top for hanging,
and a wood dowel at the bottom. Style JH003
