Korean folk paintings traditionally portrayed the daily lives of the common people. This painting shows a family playing a traditional Korean game - Neol-ddui-gi - the see-saw. In the Korean version of see-saw, one stands on the end of the board and is thrown high in the air by the others jump. It is hand-painted on silk paper and mounted on a green, and gold patterned background (not shown). Scroll paintings feature a cord at the top for hanging, and a wood dowel at the bottom.
